How counselling can help

A safe and completely confidential space

;

Counselling gives you an opportunity to speak openly in a safe and completely confidential space to someone who really listens, who is trained to do so and who empathises and values you, unconditionally and without judgement.

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues.

Sometimes the term “counselling” is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.

Types of therapy

I work in an integrative/pluralistic way, which means I use various therapeutic styles either individually or a combination of styles, with a strong emphasis on Person Centred therapy that puts you at the heart of the work.

I can offer you a chance to unload from your mind some of the troubles and issues that have been getting you down or holding you back, and help you view them in a new light.

Appointments

Everything we talk about is confidential and always non-judgemental.

I know that life is no fairytale, and it doesn’t always work out how we expect, and sometimes it’s hard to come to terms with this.

My aim is to help you find acceptance of yourself and your circumstances and enable you to gain a greater understanding of yourself.
